We are fortunate to have avoided the worst impacts of Hurricane Milton in Pinecrest, but there is significant damage to other parts of our state. Hoping your loved ones are safe. Thinking of all the first responders and emergency crews working hard right now and all affected.
There are only 26 days until Election Day, and early voting starts soon. Amidst all the confusion, I wanted to share some information with you about how to vote - whether BY MAIL, EARLY, or on ELECTION DAY. All of this information is non-partisan, and to help you exercise your right to vote, no matter how you choose to vote!
Florida Voting Deadlines/Information
Absentee Ballot Process – Deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot from your local Supervisor of Elections is no later than 5 PM on October 24. You do not need an excuse to vote by mail.
Early Voting begins Monday, October 21 at 7 AM and ends Sunday, November 3 at 7 PM (Miami-Dade County).
If you are voting by mail, the ballot must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 7 PM on November 5th. Please make sure to sign inside of the red box of the certificate envelope that is provided. Please make sure to closely read and follow all voting by mail instructions.
VOTE BY MAIL
Mail Ballots must be returned as follows:
1. By Mail - A mail ballot may be returned via the United States Postal Service and must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots should be mailed to:

2. In Person - A voter who received a mail ballot may return his or her own ballot in person to:
The Miami-Dade Elections Department located at 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33172; Stephen P. Clark Center, Elections Branch Office, 111 NW 1st Street, Lobby, Miami, Florida 33128; weekdays between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
3. At any Early Voting location during the hours of operations via Secure Ballot Intake Station (Vote-by-Mail Drop-Off).
4. By Voter's Designee - May return no more than two ballots other than his or her own per election, except that additional ballots may be returned for the designee’s spouse or the parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, or sibling of the designee or designee’s spouse. Additionally, a legal guardian who is not a family member may return a ballot on your behalf on the day of the election only.
Remember to sign the outside of your ballot before sending in!
Election Day – November 5. Voting on Election Day begins at 7 AM and ends at 7 PM. You are allowed to vote as long as you are in line by 7 PM.
